Liz Blankenship

LCSW

Liz Blankenship is a Richmond native and a Commonwealth of Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  She comes to our practice with a wealth of knowledge and experience from her roles in community based mental health, crisis intervention, as well as residential treatment.  Liz is currently providing telehealth services to adolescents ages 16 and up as well as adults in Richmond, and throughout the state of Virginia.

Liz is warm, skilled, caring, encouraging, and direct in her work with clients.  She specializes in helping clients address the challenges of parenting in today’s world, but also enjoys helping clients improve their overall relationships and functioning in their adult lives.  Toxic patterns keep us in unhealthy relationships with friends, family, partners, and even ourselves.  Liz operates from a trauma-informed perspective and is very skilled at helping clients examine their histories and longstanding patterns to determine what may need to shift in order to help create an overall healthier life with more satisfaction, peace, and calm.

Liz is also an excellent resource anyone experiencing feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, anxiety and depression.   She is a great fit for professionals as well as college and graduate school students navigating various school/work related and personal stressors. Liz works hard to build strong relationships with all her clients to help create an extremely safe place for vulnerability and honesty.  If you show up to do the work, she will be right along side you for every step of the way.
